This part is used to assay activity of Vika recombinase, whose expression is induced by treating cells with IPTG.

Control cells were not treated with IPTG. Results clearly show RFP is only expressed in presence of IPTG and thus when Vika recombinase is expressed. This confirms function of Vika recombinase, T7-LacO promoter, and Vox target sites.
